1 How is oxygen transported around the body?
O By the red cells combined with haemoglobin
O By the red cells combined with nitrogen and water vapours
O By the red cells combined with carbon dioxide
O By the red cells combined with nitrogen, hormones and plasma
What causes conductive deafness?
O Damage to the ossicles or the eardrum
O Damage to the pinna
O Damage to the outer ear
O Damage to the middle ear
Presbycusis is an impairment of hearing due to:
O Age
O Damage to the semi-circular canals
O Damage to the cohlea
O Smoking
Which part of eye has the best visual acuity?
O The fovea
O The retina
O The lens
O The cornea
Accommodation is controlled by the:
O Ciliary muscles
O Iris
O Lens
O Cornea
Haemoglobin has a preference to carbon monoxide over oxygen by a factor:
O 210-250
O 100-120
O 200
O 10-20
Henry's law has application in Human Performance to:
O DCS
O Otic Barotrauma
O Carbon monoxide poisoning
O Partial pressure in the alve
Presbycusis is an impairment of hearing due to,
(The fovea какая-то)
Presbycusis?
A signal consisting of a black letter "C" on a yellow background, as seen in Fig. 4, means that:
O Pilots of visiting aircrafts should report here.
O Stop, entrance is prohibited
O Entrance is allowed only to personell.
O Is a CLEAR area.
Two red balls disposed one above the other, and suspended from a mast, as seen in Fig.5, signifies that:
O Glider flying is in progress at the aerodrome.
O Airport is unsafe. "DO NOT LAND".
O Work in progress on the runway.
O Runway closed
A horizontal white dumb-bell illustr.(i) in Fig. 15, when displayed in a signal area indicates that aircraft are required to land, take off and taxi on runways and taxiways only.
The same horizontal white dumb-bell illustr.(ii) in Fig. 15 but with a black bar placed perpendicular to the shaft across each circular portion of the dumb-bell, when displayed in a signal area indicates that aircraft are required to land and take off on runways only, but other manoeuvres need not be confined to runways and taxiways.
O The mentioned are true and correct.
O The mentioned are true and correct, but only in the reverse order.
O All of the mentioned are false.
Which of the following combinations offer the correct meaning of white flashes (Fig. 27), directed from an aerodrome to an aircraft?
O [In the air] ---> Land at this aerodrome after receiving a continuous green light and then, after green flashes, proceed to the apron.-
[On the ground] ---> Return to the starting point on the aerodrome.-
.
O [In the air] ---> Return to the aerodrome.
[On the ground] ---> Return to hangar.
O [In the air] ---> Land immediately.
[On the ground] ---> Clear the runway off.
O [In the air] ---> Land at your discretion.
[On the ground] ---> Take-off at your discretion.
The navigation light on the starboard wing of an aircraft (Fig. 65), shall be:
O green and visible through an arc of 110° in the horizontal plane, from straight ahead to 20° behind the wing and visible through an arc of 180° in the vertical plane.
O red and visible through an arc of 110° in the horizontal plane, from straight ahead to 20° behind the wing and visible through an arc of 180° in the vertical plane.
O green and visible through an arc of 140° in the horizontal plane, 70° either side of the centre line of the wing and visible through an arc of 180° in the vertical plane.
O red and visible through an arc of 140° in the horizontal plane, from straight ahead
to 40° behind the wing and visible through an arc of 180° in the vertical plane.
Parachuting or skydiving from an aircraft is only allowed, apart from in an emergency, when:
O permission has been granted by the CAA.
O VFR conditions exist.
O it is carried out from an approved aerodrome.
O only where a Drop Zone underneath exist.
. You are following the railway line from Tempi to Alexandria. To which side of the railway line should you fly?
O East.
O West.
O East or West, doesn't matter at all.
O Exactly above the rail tracks
According to the Article 36 of the Chicago Convention, the use of photographic equipment in aircraft flying over the territory of a contracting state:
O May be prohibited or regulated by the contracting state
O Is without restrictions, in the case that the aircraft has been registered in a contracting (ICAO) state
O May be done only under an ICAO permission
If a state applied CABOTAGE, what would be prevented?
O Internal scheduled operations in state B by aircraft registered in and owned by an operator in state A
O International operations from state B by aircraft registered in and owned by an operator in state
O Non-scheduled operations in state B by aircraft registered in and owned by an operator in state A
O Privately operated air taxi services
